We're Back!

I have taken a hiatus from blogging for one "little" reason...the American Board of Surgery Exam!  It was this past Wednesday in St. Louis, Missouri.  I just heard on Thursday at 11:48 am that I PASSED!!  What, could it be true?!...No more tests?!!! Ha, who would of known that I would be 32 years old before I had my last exam (well, atleast for ten years until there is a recertification exam, but I won't think about that for now).  With that behind me, I feel like I have a 100 lb weight off of my shoulders.  So, hopefully I can get back to blogging a little more frequently.
So, what have we been up to in the last month or so since Maddie's first birthday party?...A LOT!

I have worked on credentialing at the hospitals that I will be working at, so hopefully on August 1st I can hit the ground running.  I applied and got my own DEA number (I no longer have a resident's DEA!) and I have been working on getting things set up for my office.

We also closed on a home in Keller, Texas!  We cannot wait to move in, we are busting at the seams in our condo.
Here is a picture of the soon to be Seda Home!
We also found Madelyn a new daycare once we move to Keller, Primrose School in Keller.  We will probably find a nanny, once I start, but for now, we are planning to enroll her full time.

And of course, this little angel is growing like a little weed!

Dressed in comfy cute for day care!

Good Friday at school, Maddie was practicing hunting eggs!
Our visit to the Easter Bunny...
This is how we started the day.
But it got a little better...
 And then even better ;)

Fancy pants getting a little snack before heading out...
Girlfriend was impressed by the mall.
Trying to get her warmed up before the big meet!
Well, we didn't get a smile, but at least she didn't wail!
Some post picture furniture shopping, what a little helper we had!
 She LOVES sectionals!

Some Easter Sunday Pictures...
She LOVED Peeps!
Her first Easter basket...Thank you Aunt K!
Let's just say we didn't do much hunting eggs, Maddie was not too interested.  I thought she would at least like the pink grass in the basket, but she literally went and picked out a single strand, handed it to me, and was done with it.  The only thing she liked about that basket was the Peeps.  :)
 Maddie and Daddy.
Easter lunch at Red Lobster.
The next weekend we celebrated Easter with family since we were not able to on Easter weekend...you will have to see Kaimi's blog for those pics. :)
Enjoying the pretty weather at the park.
The park on a sunny day...with Cheetos, life doesn't get any better than this!

Pretty in pink for picture day at school!

Going to watch cousin Will play soccer!

When I was away in St. Louis, I got some sweet daily texts...
Daddy got her dressed himself for church.
Somebody didn't want to wake Monday morning for daycare!
Daddy's choice for Cinco de Mayo...not bad!
She looks so big here! I felt like she was growing before my very eyes when I was gone.  :(

And finally, that leads me to today...a very special day...Mother's Day!  Happy Mother's Day to my sweet little mama.  And I thank God daily for making me a little mama, there is nothing in this world sweeter than the love of a daughter.
My sweet gift and flowers from Maddie ;)
