As a working mommy, "summer-time" unfortunately isn't much different than winter time...BUT, I love the sun and the longer days that come with summer. Here is a hodge podge of our summer days!
Father's Day 2015
We woke up early and "made" Daddy donuts. Ok, well, I stopped at Shipley's and picked up kalachis and donuts on my way home from rounding...hey, that counts, right?! I think he enjoyed them just the same.
Sweet kisses for the man of the weekend!
Our big gift to Daddy came in the form of letting him have free reign at the gun store!
I think I see a little flamingo!
Waiting in line...clearly, lots of Dads had this idea.
Lots of animals to see!
Maddie was not interested in sharing her candy with Daddy...or that Elk apparently.
Park time!
Ahhh, these two, Maddie and I are two lucky girls. One day is never enough to celebrate them.
Headed to church on Father's Day...Hugs all around.
...and tickles.
July 4th Weekend
Love our little firecracker!
Maddie and Makayla walking out of church.
Red, White and Blue for the school parade!
Big girls put on their own lotion, don't you know??
Stars and Stripes Celebration in Southlake with the whole gang!
Tatoo time!
Maddie wanted nothing to do with them! Ha, good girl! ;)
These two fought over Nana the whole time! haha, she had her hands full, clearly.
Two beauties!
Maddie wanted a bird's eye view, too!
Melt my heart.
What, sharing her toys?! I caught if on camera!
Slip n slide time!
Well, Maddie is not much of a dare devil...let's just say she put a toe in the water, with Nana in arms length!
Papa showing them how it's done!
Nope, still not going!
Partied 'til dark!
We had a bounce house, too. Don't get me started on the issues I had getting it delivered! It's actually still in my yard waiting on the people to pick it up! ha
Sweet girls.
Sleeping Beauty
I cannot help but snap shots of her as she sleeps. Clearly, I am enamored by this little joy. Here are some I snapped throughout the last couple of months.
Boo always comes to bed...sometimes Bitty Baby does, too!
Ha, two babies look about the same here.
Can you find Maddie? This if her favorite corner...she never ventures far from it.
Cousin Time!
We got to have the Covington Crew and Nana and Papa over one weekend while Kaimi and Curt had a wedding to attend. We all had so much fun...I think we wore Okie out! haha
Cousin breakfast.
Saturday night baths...for all, even Okie! hehe
Sweet babies.
I walked in to Will showing Maddie how to play, so sweet.
More Randomness
Ahh, no longer small enough for her bath time buddy that she would lay in. She loves bath time!
Little miss Safety! Ha, here she is putting a pillow at the base to slide on to...we won't say who she got that idea from?! ;)
I ordered some large canvas pictures for her play room. Here are the ones I went with, some of favorites of all time.
One AM, I had a later case, so I worked from home prior...somebody got to wake up late...and eat cereal sans PJs, what a good morning!
Most AMs we look more like this...
Birthday Party. Taylor, a friend from church had her birthday at Southlake bounce center. Maddie liked the trampoline.
And the foam pit!
Dinner after!
Maddie has gotten to where she will pose for pictures, finally! ;)
Makayla and her family came over one Sunday after church to grill out with us. These girls were loving some couch/snack time!
Maddie doesn't have any siblings...but she has lots of friends at home! She is so cute, every night as soon as she gets home she lines them up to fix them supper!
Boo is always "top dog"!
Melissa my nurse knows Maddie loves fruit, she picked her some fresh blueberries and blackberries, she LOVED them!
Maddie is no longer my baby she says...she is my "big GRRRL!" That's how she says it, too. A big girl that now puts on her own lotion and shoes. :( Half of my time in the AM is spent allowing her to choose her shoes! I am going to have my hands full in a few years I think!
But, most of the time, this "Big Girl" likes to be held like a baby!
Back yard time. These are the best days of our lives, I have no doubt.
To beat the Texas heat, some hot afternoons girlfriend just chills inside. If she is not cooking for her for her friends, she can be found reading books, putting together puzzles, or doodling. Yes, she has also gotten in the phase of reading to us. She is so cute...she holds the book just like a teacher would when they read to the class.
She also now likes to carry her breakfast in herself. About half of the time she chooses to "walk", but she still likes to be carried into school, too...thank goodness!
Here she is dressed as her favorite book character for school...Pinkalicious!
Maddie is waiting on Mommy to get dressed! What a helper I have!
Supervising Daddy grill. Now this is the life!
Sunday Funday!
And we are out!
