It's been a month! First off, I have some BIG news...
Guess who is POTTY TRAINED?!
Woohoo! She's been gradually doing it at school the last several months, but over the last month we noted that our diaper use had dwidled to nil. So I guess we officially have a big "guuuurl" now. We still put her in a pull up for naps and night time, but I cherish each "diaper" I put on and pull off...I know my days of changing that sweet little bobo are coming to an end. Ahh, my heart melts, yet again.
She now also loves all things girl-y. You know, necklaces, "tu-tu" dresses and bows. One day she says her favorite color is pink, the next day she says purple. I encourage the former. :)
What goes together better than spaghetti and statement necklaces?
Ha, I told her to quit squinting and open her eyes...so this is what I got!
We celebrated NATIONAL "2/2" Day on February 2nd with none other than a pink tutu!
Valentine's Day 2016.
Yes, me again telling her to open her eyes.
Having fun at school at her Valentine's Day party.
We picked out school Valentine's day cards for friends at school and even painted her nails (pink AND purple)...Maddie's choice!
First Manicure.
Valentine's Day Breakfast.
What better way to celebrate National Love day than with kolachis and Pink sprinkled donuts?!
Kolachi Kisses!
Robert's parents came down for a short visit so we were able to sneak off for dinner and a date! We found ourselves scarfing down our meal (you know, I did this in residency to be able to eat period and the habit has persisted mostly because we have a toddler and now we both do it to eat before Maddie has a need...you know, cut her food, add butter, get a drink, wipe her mouth.) We laughed when we realized we had eaten our meal in 15 minutes flat. ;)
It was nice to be out for a few hours, but we always miss our little love bug. She is the apple of both of our eyes.
Some pictures with her "Titi, Lita and Lito"
And with her Mommy.
This girl, she really is the sweetest little thing. She just hugs and kisses on me. I cannot believe she is mine.
Pretty Days.
It's been a beautiful Texas "Winter". We have enjoyed sunny days in the 70s. What does that entail?...oh, you know, swinging and enjoying chips and hot sauce outside.
Me and my baby headed out on some early days. She has gotten better with early AM rises. Mainly because I wake her 20 minutes before the allotted time I need so we can just rock. Rocking...it's good for the soul it is.
A little randomness to finish us off...
That Boo...he is muti purpose he is.
Maddie loves her Magnetiles...and so do we! Daddy even put in a second order we could build even taller buildings!
Headed to school.
We went out to eat one Friday and they had a table cover kids could color on. I drew our little family and Maddie insisted I add "Boo"....then, Papa, then Nana. She then started hugging Nana! Sweet baby, she knows her Nana has not felt well. I pray nightly that God gives Madelyn a loving heart, I think He has answered my prayers.
How could I forget, Robert's buck from Thanksgiving. Talk about the gift that has kept giving. Robert wanted to mount it himself, so here it is. I was just informed he wanted to fill the garage with these!
Happy Love Day! If you are reading this, you are one of the ones I love to love!
