Memorial Day 2016

We had such a fun weekend!  We started off by celebrating Robert's retirement (NOT my Robert!) haha.  My Robert is a long way from that!

These were Maddie's Happy Retirement Day pictures!

We took him to Salt Grass and then headed to Bass Pro, what better retirement celebration could you ask for?!

We then headed South to Comanche...God's Country as Robert likes to say.
Yes, his new truck got quite the breaking in the weekend.  Let's just say we went off roading on a few occasions!

This picture just makes me happy, this is my Dad through and through.  Happy spirit and hard working.  Poor thing was baiting fish and untangling lines...he didn't let that big ol' boot slow him down one bit.
Yes, me and my "Fish Caddy Daddy"
Here was a Bass of Robert's, but he was the Perch King that day.

In General Surgery and Surgery in general I have touched a lot of things, but fish...yeah, these hands don't touch those!
 Some of our larger loot.

Let's just say that Maddie and Nana liked snacking and singing while we fished.  Hmmm, and we wondered why the fish all of a sudden quit biting?!

 She loves her some Nana!

What Memorial Day is complete without a trip to the park?!

You can hardly see it, but Maddie was sporting her first ponytail!  I have been begging her for months, but she did not want to.  Of course if Papa and Nana ask, she is all about it!

That Maddie is a little jokester.  Here she is going in for Papa's cap!

My little monkey!  Someone is about to start in gymnastics and swim classes!

Maddie was in hog heaven, but even busy bees need a little siesta

We also did a little Ranger Roving...

With the cutest little driver we could find.

Maddie liked it so much she wanted to go again!

All that "work" led up to an appetite.

Well, put a fork in it, unfortunately the weekend is almost done.  But what a nice one it was!

Happy Memorial Day, so blessed to live in the U.S.A...and so grateful for the men and women who gave their lives so that we could live a life of freedom..
Tomorrow we head back to work, but I am so thankful for that work!

Melissa (my nurse) and I...you know, all business we are!

Happy 100!

My 100th post! Sorry, this one is not monumental, who could top 99 (see previous post of Maddie overload)?!

This will just a be little "Life Lately"...

I went to the annual ASBS conference, in none other that Dallas, Texas.  I thought this was going to be convenient, but it was jus the opposite.  Trying to get in and out of Dallas daily led to very long days.  But, it was a pretty good conference and a time to see old friends.

I did get some pretty cute AM pictures.
Daddy chose her outfits and fixed her hair these days, I think he did pretty good!

 PJs to school?!
Maddie got the last laugh that day!

You can see that I got lots of kisses blown to me.

We then headed to Heath to celebrate Will's 6th birthday!

 Lots of good food!
 Home to open presents!

Those cousins wear her out!

School day smiles.
Wait, what did you do with my baby girl?!

 My little sporty spice.
 Show me your muscles!

I mean, those eyes, they get me every.single.time.

Some mornings Maddie takes 30 minutes to get dressed.  Some mornings, she takes 10...and then we have time for "circle time"! (and candy?!)  Mama of the year right here ;)
Some mornings, she wakes at the crack of dawn and she gets to watch Peppa in the bathtub while I get dressed.
AND some mornings...it's just plain hard to wake up!
Somebody LOVES her big girl bed.
She can now make it all night with no pull ups!

We were twinkies this day, she said we both had "tutu dresses" on.

Carrying her flowers for Teacher Appreciation week.

Sunday Sweetness.

Oh what a little Ham we have.

I love this set of pictures...they perfectly capture our little Maddie (full of laughter, movement, and kisses!)

Mother's Day came and went.  I had such a nice day with the little girl that made me a Mommy.  We cuddled, played, and even got our nails done together.  This was Maddie's first official manicure by a professional and she did great.  She kept her hands very still.  They even brought her a little fruit drink to sip on.  We will definitely be going back!

I got a little of this, too.  Not a bad day!  Please ignore the ghostly white legs, I was trying to work on that.

My pretty flowers that Robert and Maddie sent to work to brighten up my office.  I think they did the trick.

Ha, Robert insisted I take this and send it to him so he could see what had been sent.

We celebrated my sweet Mama the next weekend when we went to see Katie's first dance recital.
I am so grateful for the girls in this picture.
How we love our sweet Nana.  We have seen firsthand what complete selfless love looks like.  A day is never enough to celebrate her.
Waiting for the main attraction!

Ha, Robert snapped this...Maddie, Nana and I look pretty enthralled.
Maddie was yelling encore for Katie!

And here was our little ballerina!  Not very good lighting for our pictures from our seats, but she was a doll!

Here she is getting to watch a little bit of her fellow dancers.  Katie Belle LOVED her flowers!
All that dancing wore her out!

We got a new little addition to the family (well, I should not say little)!
We got rid of the Forerunner and Robert finally got the truck of his dreams.  I drive his car now.
My favorite little feature is in this picture, can you find it (her)?!

It got Maddie's approval.
And all I got was a lousy rug.
Haha...I love my rug!

Let's see, what else?  Just some daily things, you know, shopping...

Enjoying the sunshine...
Small Groups...

Fixing Hair.
 Feeding.
Reading.

And of course, doctoring!

So thankful for my life.  I daily thank God for the blessings He has bestowed upon me.
