Happy 35th Birthday to our sweet little Daddy!

It was a big birthday for Robert this year, the big 3-5!  We have a lot to be thankful for in this man.  I am so grateful for his love, patience, and kindness.

Some last Sunday shots as a 34-year old...

This girl adores him as much as I do.

Just keeping it real...oh, the outtakes of life, ha.

One night I heard a howling as I finished getting Maddie's things ready for school...only to find this.  She is one lucky girl -- and she has him wrapped around her little finger.
 Birthday morning treats.

Maddie picked out her own card for Daddy.

We then went looking for a gift.  He has wanted an office chair forever.  But, we left empty handed, he decided to wait and save up some gift cards to spend on a gun safe.
Well, I should not say "we" left empty handed.

I found a few things I could not pass on given the 50% off sale?!
This little picture is my favorite.
Out for a birthday steak dinner.

Sunday shots...with a 35 year old Daddy.  Is that some gray hair I see?!

This girl doesn't seem to care.
We then celebrated again with the whole family.  Kaimi made Robert's favorite, buttermilk pie!
It worked out perfectly, they had school closed Friday, so Kaimi met Robert and kept Maddie for the day we then met them on Saturday to spend the day with everyone...and Robert and I got a date night to watch the new Borne movie.

He now has some good help with so many candles.

Christie came over to watch Maddie one day when Robert was out of town...they made special cookies for Daddy!

Whew, what a celebration, but this guy deserves more than just one day!

Back to life in general.

Crazy hair day at school.

Clearly this girl gets her ability, or lack thereof, of making "crazy faces" from her mama.
Ha, these are just plain scary...or funny how both of us seem to look about as awkward.

School Days of summer 2016.

August 22, 2016 maddie moved up from Ms. Armstrong's class to Ms. Green's class at Primrose.  She was very excited to be moved up to a big girl class (Pre-School 1).  Here she is the night before, nails painted, check, hair washed, check, Daddy feeding you mm's because you cannot use your hands, CHECK!

First Day of School for the new year!
 Our attempt at a "1"!

 My how time flies.
But I guess Mama still likes eyelet!

Oh, this kiddo of mine.  I wake in the 4 o'clock hour to get work done.  However, recently, it has become harder and harder to beat her up.  On this particular morning she was up about as early as us, and I needed to dictate.  Here was my solution...
To which Nana responded, poor baby was by herself in the office?!  Ha.
I was off to the side working as our a/c went out and this was a lot cooler part of the house.  I put headphones on her because she kept getting irritated at me that I was speaking and she could not hear!  "Poor baby"?!  I don't think so!

About as wild as parties get our house.

Buckled up and out!  Waiting on my little one to wake as I type.  Have a good weekend!

Sweet Little Nothings

Nothing exciting to report.  But sometimes, I am grateful that.

Gymnastics -- Every Saturday from 10am - 11am at ASI.  Her coach is Coach Riley who she adores.
Maddie still loves it!  She is starting to show improvement, too.  She has a summersault, walking the balance beam and hop scotch down.  She is definitely getting more daring when it comes to climbing on things (well, as daring as a child of mine could get, ha)

Hmmm, her limberness could be from her Papa.

A little trampoline time in the dog days of summer.  We all jumped the full hour...let's just say two of us were sore the next day!

Just another work/school day...
Where's Maddie?
 Boo! Literally.
Some mornings when Maddie gets dressed fast we have a little time for STICKERS!  This girl loves coloring and playing with stickers.  She is getting better at trying to keep the color within the lines.
Another splash day, sporting a shirt from Peurto Rico that Abuelita and Abuelito brought back for her.
This is my Maddie...my mischievous Maddie!
No day is complete without a little "lipstick".

 Her crazy old lady face.
 Waving good morning.
I get some good smiles when picture time is her idea.

Weekends around here tend to be low key...lots of cuddle time and quality time.  I love this little life of mine.

Tom Thumb got new carts in and Maddie loves them.  She is such a little helper.  Ms. Armstrong at school tells me that Maddie loves to be the teacher's helper.  I'll bet Ms. Armstrong has more help than she ever wants!

What weekend is not made better by manicures?!  She picked out this color herself (OPI's Hello Kitty is a favorite).

For me, no morning is complete with my coffee...and my girl.
 A little pizza for breakfast?!
Last Saturday we went out for a little Mexican food.  Is this little chica not the cutest thing?!
Last Sunday.  This smile makes my heart smile.
Haha, check out this fancy pose.

This came up on my facebook feed as a "time hop 2 years ago".   What?!  Where did my baby go?

Speaking of TIME HOP?!

Last Saturday after gymnastics we met the Covington Crew to go ice skating and play a the galleria.  Ice skating, play groud, Mi Cocina, American Doll Store, Puppy Petting and cousin time...this is a month of goodness in one day!
Clearly someone had a good time, this was her within 5 minutes of getting in the car to drive home.

I grabbed some pictures on the way out the door and then didn't get anymore...we were having too much fun.

Enjoying the cool down...we have to wait until about 8pm for that!

Yes, we have as much help here at home as Ms Armstrong and Ms. Earline have at school.  You should hear Maddie pray for Ms. Earline at night (it took me a few nights before I could understand who in the world it was that made our already VERY LONG prayer list)

We are not all work, when the work is done it's time for a little play.
Let's just say Maddie is very competitive.  Her Daddy gets to lose over and over again.

Maddie has gotten better at driving...did I mention her name is Safety-Sue?  Yes, Boo has his seatbelt on as well.

Today has been similar to last week, as you can see full of sweet little nothings.  We went to Keller Farmer's Market and picked up some fresh veggies and tonight we have Family Fun / Food truck night at church that we plan on heading to, so it should be fun!
