Thanksgiving 2018

A Happy Thanksgiving it was!
I hosted this year.  Hosting usually means having it and doing all the cooking.  Well, for many that know me, know that God failed to give me the gift of cooking/baking.  So by hosting, I mean having it at house, buying groceries and knowing two VERY good cooks (aka my sister and mother).
See below.  Bar courtesy of me, all else courtesy of them ;)

After dinner coma hit us all
 Some worse than others.
Yes, there are Christmas decorations in the background and children with Christmas PJs in the foreground...but trust me, it was Thanksgiving.  And we were super thankful for our time together.
Haha, with 5 kids, it takes a few to get all looking at the camera.

I think someone was glad to get out of Christmas PJs.
Early morning relaxing, this was when the Robert, Curt and Will headed home to Comanche to hunt. we were left behind to cuddle and play in our PJs!

Movies, games and of course lots and lots of snacks.

And Aunt K worked her magic on the girls hair.  Now Maddie is hooked and wants her hair like this ALL the time.  Ha, gone are the days of 1 minute hair dos!  But it does look gorgeous I must say!
So of course that next day we had to do this.
So proud of her new curls.
 She looks so big here.

And just like that, it was over.  We were busting at the seams (pants and hearts).

More Fall 2018

More of Fall 2018, clearly my favorite time of the year!  Ahhh, the crispness in the air, the colors.
Come on in for Fall part 2.
 Yes, more Fall Foliage.
 Some more Fall Decore.

 Some new finds this year.

Love my Fall candle, from none other than my favorite local store, JABO's ACE's!  Now it doubles as a sugar bowl holder for the coffee station.
Ahh, yes, can you smell the Pumpkin Spice?

Here come the holiday PJs!  Halloween to start off.
More Play Dates and Parties.
Madelyn and Lilly, old friends are always priceless.
Oh you know, Play-doh in Princess clothes.

 Campbell's Birthday.
Madelyn and her friend from Ms. Knotts class.  It's either Mara or Nora...I have a hard time telling the twins apart!  But here, we have twin TIGERS!
Someone was having a good time!
Petting Zoo!

A play date with Hazel. Can you tell Madelyn loves crafts?  But hey, let's be honest, I was scrapbooking before blogging! :)

More Birthday Celebrations!
We celebrated me one weekend.  I got the whole weekend of loving on!
LOVED my card.

It was a good year, I cannot say my best, but still special.  I work everyday seeing many women younger than me not given the guaranteed gift of life.  I have a harsh reminder daily of the reality of the finality of our time here.  So I am very grateful, grateful for days of this year to spend with those that I love, for that is the greatest gift of all.
Only a few birthdays ago.
More Hunting.  We found this little hunter on the way!
A hard day of hunting deserves a little ice cream.

Robert knows that he ever sleeps my camera is out! ;). Sleep with one eye opened he does!
Will showed Maddie a thing or two about having a boy around the house.
And they we came home an did this :)
Nana's Birthday!  This year she was NOT in the hospital!  Easy to celebrate this year.  Nana and Papa lived most of the Fall with us this year waiting on to find a home in the area.  Now they have it, and they stay there we just need to get their stuff packed up in Comanche!

A few birthdays ago.
More Fall baking.

Finished product.

More Fall smiles.
As you can see Texas is a mixed bag, one pictures shorts, the next long sleeves!

Notice a little something missing in this Fall smile?!
November 7th, 2018 I got the below picture in my email from Ms. Knotts.
First tooth lost!
She and Spencer lost a tooth on that day.
Let's just say it was a special day!  The tooth fairy made her first stop at out house that night.
 Fall Strolls.
Fall family festival.
Games Galore!

And here it comes!  The Christmas activities start...seen here, Lighting of the tree in Southlake.
Taylor, Madelyn, Ryan, and Makayla.

 Madelyn and Makayla.
The tree lit got some smiles!
Maddie has not had her first over night stay with anyone, but Makayla was her first here!  We had such a good time!

Yes, the Christmas decorations made an early appearance around town.  A preview of things to come!

And it was not even Thanksgiving!  Stay tuned, Thanksgiving post upcoming.
