Daddy Daughter Dance 2019

Daddy Daughter Dance 2019

Madelyn was very excited to go this year, as this was her first official dance.  Last year we had to miss when the we all got the flu.  A little look at last year's "dance"...
My Angel.  You can tell her little eyes were weak here.  But hey, thankful for a warm home and family time.

Daddy twirls make anyone feel better.
Thankful we felt good this year.  This year they attended a dance at The Rock in Keller.

All dressed and waiting on her date to arrive.

 Who's there?!

 So excited for her corsage.
...So excited she forgot to invite him in ;)

Some quick shots before the party.

 Out they go.

 Brielle and Madelyn.
Brielle is in Madelyn's class at school.

Heidi was also there.  Tattoo time!

 Cutting a rug.
 All smiles...toothless smiles!
They danced the night away and had light snacks.I worked at home during their time away and then I invited myself along for a dinner at Texas Bleu after.  Whew, we all got a little treat.
And this is how the night ended.  Perfect, just perfect.

January 2019

After a colorful Christmas, sometimes it's nice to be back to simplicity.
After hours of deglittering, we turned the corner and saw this, ha.

I didn't have quite this smile.
Lots of decluttering around the house as well.
Lots of good help.

I love New Year Resolutions, so I had a long list made come January 1.  Hey, if I am just a little better in 2019 because of a resolution or two that happens to stick, that's improvement!  So far, I've hung in there on all of them, we will see.
Being active is easy when you have good company.

All cleaned up after her workout.
Maddie and her friend Brielle had a little play date at the park.
 January shots.

Cowgirl day at school!

Everything is better with a little leopard print and boots.

So proud of her straight hair!
We celebrated Katie girl's 7th birthday this month, everyone had so much fun!

 Who couldn't have fun with manicures/jewelry making/dancing/food?!

Don't be deceived, no napping was done!
But, someone did sleep on the way home

 100th day of school!
Preparation for her poster for the parade.  I had the great idea of cutting out 100 stars (Shady Grove Stars) and gluing them ALL on.  Haha.

All dressed and ready...star shirt check, star head band, check, star poster, check...my little Shady Grove Star...CHECK!
Her new back pack.  The old one petered out on us so we sent in and got a new one as an exchange.

We all got to go to the parade.  She was so excited.

January Randomness
Enjoying playing with our new toys.
 Mr Random man himself
 More shopping?!
Partying!  This is about as partying as we get around here.  This little girl is as big of a home body as her Mama and Daddy.
But, clearly, we know how to throw a party.

Haha, I found these.  She got very upset when an old album had no pictures of her in it!

 Crafting, always crafting.
 Buddy breakfast at school.

Speaking of, thankful for buddies who are always available if in a crunch to pick up little one.
One more smile to kiss January goodbye!
