Her little personality continues to blossom.  I think she is going to be a little go-getter!

You told me that she loved me
You called me sugar plum
You threw her arms around me
I thought my time had come
Get along home, Maddie, Maddie
Get along home
Get along home, Maddie, Maddie
I'll cuddle you today
I wish I was a needle
As fine as I could sew
I'd sew you in my pocket
And down the road we'd go

I wish I was a rainbow

Isn't this a breath of fresh air?!  I thank God daily for giving me the honor of kissing on these sweet cheeks daily.
5 Month Photo Shoot.
Well, we are still working on our posture, clearly. :)

Bright eyed and bushy tailed this girl is!

Baby girl still loves those sweet little toes of hers!
Oh, something else has caught her eye (as per norm these days)...
 And she got it!
 Bird's Eye View.

I day dream about this little face...

EVERYTHING in the mouth these days!
Whew, that was work, now time to play with Daddy!
5 Month Stats (well, only her weight this month, we are not due to go to the Pediatrician until baby girl is 6 months old.
Weight: 14 pounds 12 ounces (46th Percentile)
5 Month Milestones
Our Little Exersaucer! -- Maddie has discovered the exersaucer and LOVES it.  So many things to see and do, just perfect for her little personality.  But, she likes to have me, Robert, or even better, BOTH of us watching her while she plays...such a little show boat we have!
So long Hootie -- For the first 4 months of her life, Madelyn loved her little Hootie (a bassinette that was actually a dog that we mistook for an owl, hence the name).  She even loved sleeping in Hootie many nights in the beginning.  The picture below is back during her first few days in good ol' Hootie.  Now her little feet creep over the top :(  How time flies...
True to size -- Maddie is pretty consistent in her sizing.  She tends to wear the size of her age, so we have said good bye to yet another size (3 months) and are now in a 3-6 month size.  She is still wearing a size 2 diaper...but it won't be much longer for those either!  Baby girl eats about 5 ounces per feeding at daycare.  I am hanging in there with keeping up, barely some days!
Jabber Box -- She is still a little jabber box, she has her vowels down pat and is pretty good with consonants.  She will occasionally let out a "hi" which is just adorable and catches us off guard every time she does it!  But it is her little giggles and squeals that grab my heart strings every time.  This must be what Heaven sounds like.
Grabbing Girl -- She is grabbing everything!  She has now learned to use Sophie as a bat to hit her butterfly hanging from her car seat.  I think we are going to have a softball player!  She has also started to transfer things from one hand to another.  Every day it is some little something new it seems these days.
Bath-time Baby! -- Baby girl loves bath time...FINALLY!  She lays in her little PUJ tub and smiles ear to ear as the water is poured over her.
This girl adores her little Daddy that is for sure...the eyes never lie.
Roly-Poly Belly Baby!-- She is rolling everywhere now, back to front, front to back...and the cycle repeats!  We were obedient little parents and followed the "Back is Best" campaign, but now that Maddie is so efficient at rolling, she has decided that she likes to sleep on her tummy.  We put her down on her back, but in two seconds flat, baby girl ends up like this and usually 180 degrees from where she started out, case in point...
And no, we still are NOT sleeping through the night.
Gregarious Girl -- Girlfriend loves to be in a group, if by group I mean with Robert or myself.  We are three peas in a pod I tell you!  She can play on her own just fine, but the second we leave the room she starts to pout.  I swear this girl has eyes in the back of her head!  I don't think she has started to have separation anxiety just yet, but I think it won't be long.
Song of the month -- Maddie still loves to be sung to...and this month I started singing one of Will's personal favorites that Nana and Papa always sing to him..."Cindy Cindy."  It was an ultimate fail for me in our last car ride when I didn't know the words to sing to him.  So I turned to Mr. Google and got the words.  I decided  tomake a little remix for Maddie the other day.  She really likes it...seriously!  Well, she is a captive audience on car rides strapped into her car seat, but it makes her show that gummy little smile of hers every time.  Here it is...
I wish I was a apple a hangin' in a tree
And everytime you passed on by
You'd take a little bite of me
You'd take a little bite of me
You told me that she loved me
You called me sugar plum
You threw her arms around me
I thought my time had come
Get along home, Maddie, Maddie
Get along home
Get along home, Maddie, Maddie
I'll cuddle you today
I wish I was a needle
As fine as I could sew
I'd sew you in my pocket
And down the road we'd go
Get along home, Maddie, Maddie
Get along home
Get along home, Maddie, Maddie
I'll cuddle you today
Get along home
Get along home, Maddie, Maddie
I'll cuddle you today
I wish I was a rainbow
A way up in the sky
And when you looked upon me
I'd catch your little eye
 Get along home, Maddie, Maddie
Get along home
Get along home, Maddie, Maddie
I'll cuddle you today
Get along home
Get along home, Maddie, Maddie
I'll cuddle you today
I wish I was an angel
With pretty little wings
And when you closed you eyes each night
I'd bless your little dreams....
My Snuggle Buddy -- Thankfully, my baby girl still loves to cuddle!
This is me "studying" for my JP exam for my Texas Permanent license, haha!  I woke to Robert snickering after snapping this one! I don't know how Kaimi and Curt got through law school, 5 minutes of reading that mess put me to sleep everytime, and Maddie, too! ;)
