Thursday was Maddie's first Halloween and we got to celebrate with our favorite crew, the Covingtons. It was Collin's first Halloween, too! We were just saying this weekend on how they would be the Class 2031, can you believe it?!
A week of Halloween celebration! Maddie even wore her little costume to day care this week...they said she had the best costume :) (Ha, bet they told all the little mamas that, but hey, we will take it!)
This picture is a little blurry, but I LOVE it...this is how Maddie's little personality is in the early mornings...our little delight.
Trick?
or Treat?
Baby girl has started to figure out what loading up the car seat means...
Sweet kisses...who needs Halloween candy?!
Love these two.
Our "Little Pumpkin"
Daddy got her dressed by himself on this day...he even picked out a bow to match! BOO!
We made it out to Rockwall in the nick of time. Of course, this was the day that clinic ran a little late. I called Robert on the way home to tell him to dress Maddie, he just laughed, guess you cannot stuff a little pink poodle in the car seat. :) I got home, and we were out the door in 5 minutes flat.
Me and my little pink poodle. (This is the first dog I have ever had!) I think Maddie enjoyed it...she had this deer-in-the-headlight look all night though. I think she was trying to take all the unusual sites in! At least she kept her little head piece on though!
Love this little pirate, he was the leader of the group! We had to be quick to keep up!
The sweetest little Indian I ever saw!
One tired little horse...either that or a candy coma! ;)
Headed to our first house. To be honest, I was a little embarrassed asking for candy seeing as how little one has NOT ONE tooth in her little head yet! ha
Her first Candy stash.
What would we do without our sweet Aunt K...she is always thinking of us! We pulled up in time to hop out and head down the street and she had made us dinner for after. Nothing like Mexican corn bread and Chicken enchilada soup after a chili night out!
Such a sweet Daddy these babies have.
Only "treats" with a bunch this sweet!
I think her Daddy had a good time, too!
Other happenings this week...
Maddie's first time to have carrots! Yet again, something else she loves. I'm not a fan though, it stains everything, even the spoon! She has tried squash, carrots, green beans, and also sweet potatoes. Let's just say I don't think we have a picky eater on our hands. She eats a little container in about 4 minutes flat, she might be a surgeon after all! :) Poor thing, I think of all the times I scarfed down a meal between cases when I was pregnant with her, she must be used to "eating when she can."
More!
Baby's first introduction to a sippy cup and water. You can see her wheels a turning trying to figure this thing out!
She figured it out in no time!
Ha, she got tired but still wanted a drink, I couldn't resist that her little pouty face. :)
Back to it!
My errand buddy on Friday...
Robert got to tour the Dallas Cowboy's new stadium for work!
Late Friday night Nana and Papa came in and on Saturday we had a big day! We went to Canton in the morning (a HUGE flea market) and shopped 'til we dropped. Will rode with Robert, Papa, Maddie, and me. We had a good time on the ride, the pictures below are courtesy of WILL! :)
We arrived in Canton, finally! An hour ride turned into a little bit longer than that after a few wrecks and road construction delayed the trip. Will has a bird's eye view of the sales!
Will rode the Ferris Wheel all by himself! I only got a few pictures, this placed was PACKED. It took everybody to make sure we didn't lose anybody, adults included!
After we got home we had a lot to celebrate...Curt's 32nd birthday! Those pictures to follow soon! We had such a good weekend with family. We finished the weekend off getting to fill a pew at Eastridge Church of Christ. God has blessed our family immensely. There is no greater joy than being surrounded by people that love you. The icing on the cake to the weekend?...Day Light Savings time! We got an extra hour to nap with our little love bug after church. Ahhh, nothing better, all rested for the week ahead!
