The First Week of Our New Life

What an exciting week for our family!  I have officially started work and Maddie has now become a full time day care baby again.  We are still working on getting a routine down, but it was a nice start.

My new office...
Clearly it is still bare, but I'll get it decorated eventually...
The office manager got me these, she knows I am a sucker for pink roses!  I could not ask for a nicer group of people to work with.
 Another view.
I think I need some more girly décor though!  But, oh, how I am sick of hanging things now!
Notice the new orchid added to the room!  Curt, Kaimi, Will, Kate, and Collin got me this and I LOVE it!  I mentioned one day a while back that I wanted an orchid when I finally got my own office and they remembered, so sweet!  Now I just have to keep it alive!
Notice, "Dr. Seda" on my phone, I guess it's official now.
 My pretty orchid, it's huge!
Got my new hospital badge this past week...I had saved these badges from my years of training, wow, just a reminder of how many years it has taken me to get here.  But hopefully my photo hasn't aged THAT much...
Somebody also turned 16 months old this past week...and FINALLY joined the 20-pounder club!  Look at that little tummy, oh so kissably cute!
Boo has definitely become our 4th pea in the pod!

A good luck text before my first case as staff came with this sweet little picture.  Made my morning!
This girl keeps a hand on Boo...
Apart...
But not for long!  I guess I never had a Boo because I always had Kaimi, haha!
Last weekend we stained the fence, talk about a labor of love!  6 hours in 98 degree weather is one way to work on the tan...and my low Vitamin D levels though.  We had it down to a science...about 1 minute and 30 seconds per plank (one of us was a little faster than the other, I won't see who it was, but she is not shown here ;) )  We worked during Maddie's naps and after she went to bed, so it worked out just right.  Getting close to half way at this point.  Maddie had just finished playing in the pool as she can see.
Over half way!
The finished product
... just in time for the start of this little beauty!
Pretty good view from the den!
Maddie has LOVED it!  We had some neighbor drama to be able to install it (despite following all our HOA rules) but it was well worth the headache.  Let's just say we are thankful for having attorneys in the family!

This about sums it up here, this girl loves to swing.

Here Daddy has loved it, too!  I liked the swing too...but after 15 minutes I was sick as a dog from the motion! I guess I never have been much of a thrill seeker, clearly.

Weekend of celebration!  We had been planning for months to attend Ben and Allie's wedding.  (I went through residency with Ben, so we have gone through the trenches together).  It was quite the fiasco getting up there (I'll spare the details) but we would not have missed it for the world.  I don't know what I would have done without this group of people in those five years away from home.  I could not be happier for them!  Although our time there was literally under 24 hours, it was so nice to see everyone and catch up.  I got to see most of the residents that I knew from my time there (My sweet Sarah, Brett, Michaela, Matty J, Veronica, Webster, Debrah, Anne, Jim, Sachs, Misty, Ricker, Randi, Rori, Mankins, Kristina, Mark, Elizabeth, Ohmar, Abby, Dr. Sidwell, Lisa, and Paula).  I am sick I didn't take more pictures!
Class of 2013.  Me, Ben Schlicher , and JT Quann.  These two guys are salt of the earth men, truly.  Their patients are lucky people.
 Back home...
We left Maddie for the first time!  I knew she was in good hands though, I don't think she was ready for us to get back!
Dressed for church, what a sharp looking bunch!
 Enjoying her dinner!
Kissing Cousins!  These two are inseparable I hear!
Clearly, she was so sad while we were gone!

This one cracks me up, Maddie looks like a little Papa here...I think she got Papa's hair, lucky girl!
All these kids love their Papa that is for sure. I know Nana was probably taking the picture, or they would have been kissing on her, too.  We are so blessed.
It's like waiting in line to sit on Santa's lap!  Well, way better than that, I remember that experience!

Tea Party with Daddy...what a way to end the weekend!
