Under the Weather

In keeping with the weather-themed title of my last post, I thought this was the appropriate title for the last couple of weeks in our household.

We took a couple of days off and had a little stay-cation.  We didn't plan to do much and we are glad we didn't!  We all got a cold and just enjoyed the time off.  I will say one thing, I am thankful for health...and for days off to rest and recooperate.  God is good, every day.

Before our colds set in...headed to the Coyote Drive in Fort Worth.

Me and my girl.
 Waiting to get in.
Killing a little time before our movie starts, bubbles!
 And frizbees.
 Makayla, Maddie, and Braydon.
That Braydon loves Maddie, haha always trying to hold her hand. :)
Running around, you know, like crazy people.
What movie is complete without POP CORN, and snow cones (this may have been her first one!)  Ha, you can tell I don't like snow cones, poor baby had never tried one before that night.
Cannot forget the PICKLE!  Everything is bigger in Texas.
Our crew.  Those pop corns are blocking the view of some!

Earlier that AM we went to Celebration City near us...it is only open during the week so I never had the chance to take Maddie so we took advantage of our stay-cation and went.  I am pretty sure this is where we picked up our colds.  Ugh, did I say celebration city or Germtown, USA?!

Then we later headed South to a wedding and to see Nana and Papa for the weekend.

Loving on Nana.

Dancing the night away at Julie's wedding.  Ok, well maybe not, but snapped a shot of some good dancers!

 Our Curly-headed cuties.
 Park time!

Gotta break for Cheetos don't you know?!
I hope she never outgrows Mama snuggles.

Wonder where this boy got those pretty blue eyes?
Headed home...within 5 minutes someone was out.

Phone Dump.
Well, I have gotten behind on blogging with sickness/work/life in general.
So here are some random pictures I saw on my phone.

One day when I got off early...girls day at the pool!
Let's just say she likes swimming with her Mama better than with Coach Noah at Keller Pointe.

Some Father's Day collages.  How I love the Daddies in my life.

Got a new fireplace cover at a consignment store, LOVE it!
 School Days of Summer.
The best...Monday Splash Days!

Just another day, this girl is a trooper.  On OR days I wake her early to get to work for a 0715 case, she "usually" is a good sport about it.  But, hey, might as well start young to learn that the early bird gets the worm!

This splash day...I recall well, let's just say this girl was delirious at this time!

On clinic days I let girlfriend eat at home sometimes...yes, on the couch...watching IPAD.  Everyone needs a little treat now and again!
Some days I try and let her sleep in...but she still wakes early, so we have STICKER time!
This girl has really gotten into stickers.

Random Weekend Shennanigans.

Loving on her Daddy.
Even on the weekends we tend to wake up early.  We "try" to be quiet so Daddy can sleep in.

And sometimes Mama has the best view in the house.

I won't tell you how many times we put that SAME puzzle together that AM. :)

 More gymnastics.

Now Maddie insists on only wearing her gymnastics attires, ha!  She LOVES it, much different than our swim lesson experience.  We won't talk about that today.

Yes, watching Mary Poppins later in the day with Mommy and Daddy...and someone is still rocking the spandex.  But hey, if I looked that cute with my little gut showing I might do the same!  Don't worry, we quickly told her to back away from the screen.

Waiting for our car to be washed.
 Sunday shots.

I had started this post this weekend and then my world came to a halt after talking to Nana on the phone.  We had a little scare, ok huge scare.  What started out as a "usual weekend" turned into a trip to the ER, a two night stay in the hospital, and many prayers for God to intervene.  I have since thanked God daily that she did not have a stroke.  We are working on a diagnosis still, but for now it looks like it could be Myasthenia Gravis.  The main blessing is that this diagnosis at least has medication that can treat it as opposed to a stroke.
I love being a doctor, but not so much being the family of a patient.
How we love our Nana and continue to pray for her health to return.
