Happy Half Birthday my baby girl! Well, I am about a week publishing this, but close enough.
Where does the time go? I recall like only yesterday, when she was able to fit on my chest.
I will never forget the first time our eyes met. Joy, true joy.
Her first half birthday!
Just a little stroll through memory lane, with I think, the best view there could ever be.

Yeah, did you catch the theme of the family picture at the pumpkin patch...this is how that went down last year!

The other night when Robert was out of town for work, Maddie slept with me. She really is a good little cuddle bunny. But, when I was carrying her to bed I recall her little legs dangling down so far, she is getting to be a big girl!
She is the light of our lives.
Some Maddie-isms
"I love you" (She really does say this all the time. We will be driving along or just playing and she will pause, look into our eyes and say, "I love you". MELTS my heart, every. single. time.
"Oopsie-Daisy!" (Whether it's dropping something or messing up, I hear this.)
"You're my best friend"
"You're NOT my best friend" (ha, how quickly she turns. I have a feeling we will hear this more as the teenage years approach)
"You Silly Goose!" (Aka "You Siddy Goose!")
"Play with me!" (Aka "Pay with me!")
"You Silly Goose!" (Aka "You Siddy Goose!")
"Play with me!" (Aka "Pay with me!")
"Let's take this on the road" (She likes to eat breakfast in the car sometimes)
"I need "tis"! (That is her favorite phrase in a store)
"What are you doing?"
"Where are you?" (When she cannot find us for 1/10 of a second)
"I not a baby, I a big guurl!"
"You want this?, raise your hand!"
"You want this?, raise your hand!"
I feel like her vocabulary expands daily. Every day I feel like I hear her saying something a new phrase/word.
Her Favorite Pass-Times
Playing with her "babies" -- not just dolls, she considers them ALL her babies. She will rock/feed/lay them in little pallets that she makes for them.
Snacking -- nothing has changed here. When you cannot find Maddie (or her Mama, ha) she can be found in the pantry. She loves pop corn, pickles, crackers, and fruit (apples, strawberries, blueberries, and grapes...of course with lime juice and salt). She also likes yogurt, pancakes, bacon, well, you get the idea. And of course, "chicken nuggets and fench fies". She really is a good little eater. But she knows what she wants WHEN she wants it.
She has a tree nut allergy. But, she is very good at avoiding all and anything with nuts. When she sees something new she will look at me and say "does dis have nuts?"
Favorite shows to watch -- Peppa Pig, she is starting to like this a little less than she used to.
PJ Masks (she says PJ Max) -- her cousin Collin introduced this one to her!
Calliou -- I got her off that really quick when I heard how whiny little Calliou is...that is the last thing we need, someone to teach her how to be MORE whiny!!
Masha and the Bear
Favorite Movie to watch -- Snow White (correction, she says Cinderella below!)

Reading Books -- Ha, now we have to fight her to be able to read, she likes to read to us. Yeah, that is always interesting. She has no absolute favorite, she seems to like them all.
Jumping on her new trampoline!

Some pictures from the week:
Breakfast for Dinner...PANCAKES! Daddy was out of town, but I sure had a good little buddy to keep me company. Yes, we both already had on our PJs, nothing like coming home from a long day and getting into our "comfy clothes"!
Morning Shots!
Speaking of shots...baby girl got a flu shot this week, like a champ! No tears, well maybe some when the bandaid finally came off a day later, haha. She love that leopard print!
Stats:
Weight -- 30.6 lbs
Height -- 37 inches
Clothes -- True to size in clothes, 3T; Shoes, size 8, Diaper size, oh wait, NO DIAPERS (insert a happy dance here) but that girl loves her picking out her panties for the day. She knows exactly which one she needs for that day
I would not be truthful if I said life in the last 3.5 years has been all smiles. We have had our share of these days
And yes, some of these.
But no tantrum/frown can darken the light given by the smiles and love of this child.
