Seda's Home Tour -- 2017

I'm a "keeper" that's for sure (or I like to think a loyalist better yet).  Once  I find things that  I like, I tend to hold onto them for a while.  So most things you have seen before, with a few new things added to the mix this year.

The Hearth.

I got this new pillow this year and the gold accents along the side.
And these.  Guess I like poinsettias.

 The Tree.
Speaking of new...we got a new tree this year, no more light wars this time!

Corner touches.

A house divided.

The big picture.

 The Entry Way.
Not much change here, though I did get some real off white poinsettias and place them in the entry way.

The Butler's Pantry with my prized Fitz and Floyd.
I did not fight the crowds this year at Dillards the day after Christmas, so I won't have new one to add next year. :(
 Our beloved Advent Santa Calendar.

 The dining room.
I love this room because it reminds me of our years in Iowa.  Most of our tree decorations are in this room...including our previous angel topper. Iowa was rough years, for many reasons, but I met some of the best people and had made some of my best friends from our time there.
 Kitchen Decor.
 More Fitz and Floyd.  Ahhh.
Coffee time made sweeter with a touch of red and green.

My "new addition" from last year (aka we fought some old ladies at Dillards for this beauty).
 Even Twinkle Toes loved him.
Previous Christmas photos.

Our card hanger, this may be one of my favorite decorations.
I stole the idea from Kaimi.  I may have to steal her recent update (she added three rows this year).  I needed more room this year!
Here is the start of it...until I get others' cards, I put up our past cards.
Then, we get bumped as they come in the mail!  I have more to the side, next year I'll need to plan ahead better.
I finally figured out I have a cup towel hanger...think that means I don't look at the oven enough?!

 Our outdoor lights.

The tree the night before action!

I cannot take all the credit for the above, I had two good little helpers!
Robert is not shown here...he is up in the attic pulling down boxes...and more boxes.
Oh this child.  She brings me more joy at the holidays.  Each year she gets sweeter and sweeter.

  We cannot forget Maddie's tree!
That's a "wrap"!

Hello December!

Well hello December!  There are many things that I love about December but this is my favorite...
 Happy 62nd birthday our Daddy-O!

Not aged a day!  And look who else we celebrated, that weekend, Collin Bear!  Happy high FIVE!

The month welcomed in our advent calendar.  Lots to countdown to look forward to.

The first weekend in December we went on our second annual trip to the Anatole.  We met at Denny's for dinner.  The girls made a new friend.
 Birthday cake time!
The elves made their appearance for the month.  They decorated the room for us!

Grant joined the fun/craziness this year!
  Breakfast with Santa.

 The breakfast boy.

The big man made an appearance.

Maddie asked for a Unicorn!

 Tickling Uncle Curt.

Night Before Christmas from Santa himself.
Our picture with Santa for the year.  Mark it down, it counts!  This kiddo loves the idea of Santa...but not so much him, haha
Stressed smile here...

That's better girl!

Last year, how our babies grow!

 String Puppet show.

 Where's Twinkle toes?!

The Christmas play at church.  Next year Maddie will be old enough.  We will see if she wants to participate in it.  Let's just say she has her Mama's theatrical talents, so we will see, I'm not holding my breath.

First card of the season right here.  We love the Covington crew!
Little Twinkle Toes and her adventures.

Spreading Christmas cheer at the hospital.  Decorating Nana's room up!

Maddie also had a little party of her own...a Santa breakfast with Primrose besties, Hazel and Lilly.
Maddie set this herself..and put together her own "Gooooodie bags" for the party.
  Setting up.
 Gingerbread houses ready to go!
 Making homemade hot chocolate.
  Waiting on her company.
 Sampling the goodies.
 All ready!
Her guests seemed to think the pancakes were tasty!
 Lilly, Maddie, and Hazel.
Ha, these girls changed several times in the course of our 3 hour party.  My little mermaid.

Our annual trip to Southlake for the carriage ride.

 Maddie's gingerbread house.

Week one of December...and we feel like this.
