Fall Finale 2017

The Fall is coming to its Finale, insert sad face, though I do love the Christmas holidays as well, so I am torn. 

Maddie's last Primrose Costume parade.  

She was a butterfly fairy this year.  Last year she was a witch, she chose it herself.  This year I started early working on a compromise!  It may be my last to get a vote on the whole thing.

Poor Maddie had a cold that day and was not quiet herself, you can see it in the lack of sparkle in her little eyes.  But she did not want to miss it for sure.

The new game this year, PLINKO!  Robert and Matt outdid themselves this year .

I'm still partial to Operation though. 

We headed to a few trunks ourselves, but Maddie did not feel great and wanted to head back and man the operation game.

 Halloween 2017
Well this year was an interesting Halloween.  It was on a work night and I ended up getting off pretty late.  Robert was out of town for work and Nana was in the hospital.  So all things did not point to a successful Halloween.  There was also forecast of 90% rain and cold weather.  BUT, the stars aligned.  I got off work, Papa picked up Maddie from day care and helped get her ready and we were out the door by dark...with BEAUTIFUL fall weather.

What?!  Where did my baby girl go?  But, I have her word for it, she "will always be my baby".

And then begins the holiday decorating!  We had a good little helper this year.  She gets better and better let me tell you.

Whew! I always need a year to forget the pain of it all.  I love it when it's up, but, not so much getting it there!  That 12 foot tree is a doozie.

Maddie got impatient waiting on us to pick up the mess from the living room, so she said would do hers by herself.

 When her cousins left, she took a 2 hour nap and then slept one more hour just like this.  And this mama soaked in EVERY single second of it.
