Life Lately -- January 2017

I think a little "Life Lately" is in order...you know for the last month. Aka, phone dump.  So hold onto your hats, it will be a lot of Seda randomness.

We started off the month nice and slow (well, at least that is what we thought it was going to be.)  December is very busy at work for us, add that to the holidays and come to the end of the year we feel like we are crossing the end of the finish line of a 400 yard sprint (you know gasping for air, carrying that monkey gorilla on your back.)

So, we decided to take some time off in January, a little stay-cation.  Well, we did that, but we still ended up filling the days.
Floors polished, closets cleaned out, Good Will restocked, laundry done.  Robert said next year we are NOT staying home on our "vacation".  :)

Maddie playing with my old cabbage patch dolls, haha!  I looked online for some new clothes for the and those now cost a small fortune.  So onesies it will be for these babies.
We went to the store.  This picture is taken riding inside the dual cart at Target, where Maddie insisted that I ride with her.  (yes, please ignore the makeup-less face)  Poor Robert, had a heavy load to push. :)
 Enjoying her Christmas robe.

 Running some errands.
Going through and giving away our baby stuff to Baby Covington coming in May! It was hard to find stuff not pink though.

  Playing outside in our PJs.
Oooh, so cold.
Writing letters to Nana and Papa.

Back to work it was after a few days off.
This kiddo will not sleep past 0530 these days.  This makes it very hard for me to work much in the AM.  Oh, this child.  She likes to go to bed with me; I think I might be putting her to bed until she is a teenager.  I then fall asleep with her at probably 9 pm.  I am then OUT.  So, I rationalize that if I get up before 4am I can work a few hours.  Well, that worked until her new idea that she would also wake so early.
Oh, life lately.
Boo has to get his picture taken as well some days.

 Some school pictures.
Some days I don't have a minute to spare before we head out, so no picture. But, I know that seeing this sweet little face brightens Nana's day so we try.  Maddie often resists, but if I say, "It will make Nana feel better" she runs and chooses a place to pose.  That baby loves her Nana. Every night we pray for Nana to make a full recovery.  We believe we serve a God who is the almighty physician and we believe He can heal her.
On a good note, Nana went to New York, saw a very good doctor and now has a treatment plan that we hope will help.  All it takes is one good doctor willing to go the extra mile.  I think of mom frequently when people come to me searching for answers.  While this year has been such a trying time for our family I think it has given me a different perspective in patient care.  Hopefully, I am "that one good doctor" for my patients.

One day we were "attempting" to clean out the playroom.  I was trying to get rid of the below...
yes, she then decided it was the coolest toy ever, haha.

How can I resist that little face?!

 Tea parties with Daddy.

 Sunday Shots.

Robert finished a deer head for Papa, too.  He has gotten his system down!  Maybe he should get a new day job?
I think she has figured out that if she wakes early, she gets to eat breakfast at home while I get dressed.

I ordered my first blog book in January.
I had about decided that I would stop blogging if I was unable to have a hard copy of it because it takes time.  I usually try and blog before anyone wakes on the weekend, but the above mentioned early early bird situation has thrown a wrench in that plan.
However, when I saw my first book, I felt like it was worth it, so for now, I will keep it up.  Heaven knows I have not kept up a baby book!

Maddie LOVES it!  She flips through the pages, saying "Oh so cute!  Me...and Me, and me, and me...." You get the idea.

That's how we roll you know.

Or maybe it's more like this...
We have now really started enforcing the one out, one in rule!

Gymnastics.

A trip to our favorite neighborhood Ace store.  This store has EVERYTHING!  Forget the tools, it has candles, florals, unique candy, and BABY CHICKS!

 Nothing like some Sunday Smiles.

We did go and look at a home on Sunday.   It was in Westlake where we hope to move one day.  We will see...
 Just goofing off.
First day of Amazing Athletes, she loved it they said!

Daddy had a work trip this month so Maddie and I had some girl time.  Here we are snuggling in bed early one AM.  I love my little snuggle bunny.  This girl is a master cuddler.  Oh, she has my heart.  God gave me just what I needed.

While Daddy was gone, a little popcorn and a movie on a school night, what you say?!
She comes home daily with about 10 pieces of paper with our either "Mama/Daddy/Nana/Papa" doodled on them.  I really think she thinks of us a lot.
Mailing Nana and Papa some of her work.

Guess who is getting a new fence?!  Just in time for a little white puff ball to join us soon!

We took a little stroll around PetCo to see what they had for little Snowflake.  That girl does not know what she is for!
 A little target practice.

One last Sunday Shot.

 Yep, there's my girl.

Just another Tuesday night dinner at the Seda house.

 My little Princess.
 Ok, this sneaks into February...
2/2 day!
Yes, she has a tutu and tennis shoes on, because that is what you do when you have 2/2 day and Amazing Athletes on the same day.

Showing off some school work in her class.
Ahhh, this came up on my FB feed around this time..."2 years ago"
Where does the time go, look how much she has grown.  I know one thing, we fall more and more in love with her.
And that my friends is a little Life Lately.
Here's to hopefully sunny days ahead.
