It's truly Christmas when the pictures in front of the tree start.
But, unfortunately it Twinkle Toes does not put it up for us!
Thankfully I have my little helper.
There she is is! Knock on wood, at least the lights all worked this year.
...And with presents wrapped. Let's be honest, this was taken very close to Christmas. I am anyone but that person who has their presents much less bought but also wrapped early in the season!
Quite possibly one of my favorite Christmas tree pictures. I caught her just admiring. :)
Truth be told, we did a happy dance once we got all the decorations put up!
Some more shots of decorations around the house.
Haha, when Madelyn saw me trying to snap pictures of decorations, notice how she runs to be in each one!
Haha, I beat her on these one.
She's back!
I forgot to snap some of the kitchen this year! But not much different than last :)
Here's a few.
Our little village.
More Christmas tree poses.
And Hearth poses...
Oh that Twinkle Toes.
Nana felt like going to church that day. Sunday best looks even more fancy in front of twinkling lights don't you think?!
Twinkle Toe at her antics. Maddie's favorite part of each morning was looking for her. She's our Eagle Eye for sure, she found her pretty quick each day.
We love advent calendars here. We had three kinds :)
This is our favorite. It has a daily devotional then you hand the daily ornament.
Maddie also has a chocolate advent calendar that rivals close second I dare to say.
Our annual Christmas tree light sight seeing tour.
How we love Hot Cocoa...Christmas PJs, and of course family time with Christmas music and lights. This could quite possibly be my favorite tradition at Christmas, and cheapest...had it not been for Starbucks hot cocoa :)
We hosted our annual White elephant Christmas party this year. I didn't get many pictures of it...with that many kids and crafts/games there is not much time for photography!
Our annual Gingerbread house creation.
We went to Twas the Night Before Christmas with the Alonzos and the Calderons.
These girls love each other so.
I'm not sure if they like the show better...or the magic show that Oliver put on during intermission.
Then we headed to Sundance Square to eat and see Santa again. Making sure he remembers what we want! Waiting on Santa to return from a Hot Cocoa break...talk about hard keeping them out of the water.
Then we had some overnight guests!
We love these two!
And some Christmas wrapping...isn't everything better in Christmas PJs?!
And Christmas shopping. Clearly we were delirious at this point.
and more shopping.
Madelyn's class Christmas party -- Ms. Knotts class of 2018.
Abuelita and Abuelito kept Maddie for a week when Nana and Papa went to Mayo Clinic. They also came to her party since they were in.
All dressed for school.
Craft tables.
Cookie decorating. Robert and I took off to go. When Maddie saw us come through the doors of the room it was like she had not seen us in a year. She was soooo excited. Ahh, melt my heart.
I manned the cookie station...you know, because I'm such a little baker ;)
Madelyn and Heidi.
More Games.
Madelyn and Sulimon.
Daddy was in charge of the balloon game and clearly up to no good here. Does he know how much money we spend on anti-frizz products?!
Madelyn and Ms. Knotts.
How we love this time of year...and this little girl right here.
The whole gang.
It was a wild party let me tell you, crafts, games, decorating, eating and even a snowball fight at the end. But in the hustle bustle of it all, you might just miss it...look close...right there in the corner
...the little glimpse of absolute joy this child brings to my life.
Oh how I love this age, when at school, with a room full of fun and friends she still has time for Mama snuggles. God, thank you for reminding me why you told us to have child like hearts and showing me beauty of one daily.
This seems like only yesterday.
No Christmas season of celebration is complete without a carriage ride in Southlake...and of course more hot chocolate :). Abuelita and Abuelito joined us this year to finish off their week in town with us.
And of course the month calls for RED nails. Who would have ever thought I took that plunge?!... I am a neutral kind of girl. But Christmas calls for red and green for all!
Ok, we do Christmas Texas size around here, so we had so many celebrations I have had to break it up into parts! We have at least 2-3 left to cover it all, stay tuned!
