We Love you Four-Ever...Happy Four Months!

It seems like only yesterday that I was writing about one month milestones, how could time have slipped away so quickly?  It only reminds me to cherish each and every day with this baby girl...because my days of having a baby are quickly fading I can see.

This has been a busy month.  Although we have gotten moved and all settled in now, the last month I have been studying (and now taken) my General Surgery Qualifying Exam, whew!  It feels so good to get that behind me, well, that is if I pass...it will be a long six weeks waiting for that letter!  For that reason, the last month has not had many "leisure weekends" (where I do nothing but sit and rock my baby girl).  I have lots of making up to do!

Our last couple of weeks.
Early days waking up for day care.  I can just hear her, "Five more minutes, mommy!"  No, she doesn't sleep in her diaper, she has already been undressed and is still fighting opening those big brown eyes!

Headed to day care.  No bows when we go to day care, girlfriend has to be comfy!  I will admit, it is hard for me to walk out the door without a bow in her hair!  I think she is beautiful with or without a bow though...it's just the icing on my little cupcake! :)
Nap time with Daddy after a long day at work/day care.  I love that little tummy!

Just Purrrr-fect!  I cannot help but play dress up with this little doll.  She just now grew into this little hat!

We had Madelyn's 4 month check up this past Friday, complete with shots. :(  She actually does very well with shots, however.  She usually has one outcry with the shot, then she will return to her smile-y self once we pick her up.  Girlfriend has her mama's pain tolerance! ;)  With her 2 month shots, she didn't have any post vaccination symptoms.  No fever, no fussiness, nothing! But after this set she was a little fussy.  Poor baby was just getting over a cold and then had to get shots, too.  It's a cruel world sometimes.  This weekend she has actually been under the weather I could tell.  She was a trooper, but I could tell she wasn't her normal self.  I wrote her a prescription myself...for lots of loving and cuddling!  We love her new pediatrician, Dr. Waters.  She actually looks like she could have been in medical school about the same time that I was.  She is young, energetic, and very good with Madelyn.  Maddie gave her seal of approval with lots of smiles.

4 Month Milestones
Service with a Smile -- Girlfriend is still all business when she eats at night, but in the mornings/evenings she now loves to nurse for a little bit, then smile a little bit, then nurse a little bit, then smile a little bit...  Those gummy grins grab my heart strings every time!
Little Miss Social -- Madelyn has become so vocal, she just jabbers away!  I can only imagine how many questions are in store for us when she is 2!  There is nothing sweeter than her tiny little voice.  Speaking of tiny little voice, she also started laughing this past month.  Well, I guess I am not that funny...Robert and Papa are the two that make her laugh the most now.  But I can get those smiles!
Milk Monster -- Well, last month at this time she was eating 4 ounces per feed, that has now increased to 5, sometimes 6 ounces per feed when she is at day care!  At day care she eats every there hours, but at home, she likes to eat every two hours still.  I don't mind at all, I love our one-on-one time.
Sleeping Beauty -- In her 3 month blog I stated that she was sleeping through the night...well, that didn't last long!  For most of the last month she woke 2-3 times per night.  In the last few nights, it seems like she is back to waking only once, and sometimes not at all.  We will see what this month has in store.  Like I have said before, I never mind waking up for an extra rock session though.
Always my number 1, no matter what --
This is my sad face...about to change her last Number 1 diaper.  We are now into a size 2. Oh, breaks my heart, but that little size 2 bobo is the cutest little thing I ever saw!
I love Maddie in this picture...I love the look in her eyes.  I think this little girl loves me by the look in her eyes.  I think that because I find myself looking at her in the same way.
First Cold -- Poor baby got her first cold this past week.  Guess that goes with starting day care.  I think we are in the end stages of her cold, it has been a long week for all!  Poor Robert caught her cold, too.  This week I had two babies to take care of!
First style product -- We found some baby mousse to try and "accent" those baby curls.:)
New Friend -- This giraffe is named "Sophie."  She is actually all the craze at the moment...so much that she is worth a whopping $25.99, and people actually pay that for her!  I saw Sophie in the store and quickly passed her by when I saw the price.  Kaimi later recommend her to me so we registered for her and got her at the shower!  For the first 3 months Madelyn wanted NOTHING to do with Sophie, I thought, "What a scam!"  But, low and behold, this past month Maddie has changed her tune and has come to love her.
A love/hate relationship I guess...here she is biting her head off! haha

Day Care Baby -- Well, Madelyn is now officially a day care baby, she is nearing on the one month mark in day care.  Melody, Sebel, and Saba (the infant room sitters) have now warmed up to our little love bug.  They told me last week that Madelyn seemed to be adjusting to the group, but that she liked a little more attention than the rest of the children...that they could tell she was an only child!  Ha, I have a high maintenance baby.  I secretly don't mind, hopefully she gets held a little more! ;)

 Madelyn's 4 Month Statistics

Weight: 12 pounds 13.4 ounces (40th percentile)

Length: 24 1/4 inches (60th percentile)
I cannot believe I have a baby above the 50th percentile for length, guess you never know!  I think it is that muscle milk she has been drinking! :)

 4 Month Pictures
I didn't take as many pictures for this month's "photo shoot," baby girl had a under-the-weather week, so I knew she probably didn't feel like it.  But I think these are still pretty cute.

Baby girl loves her feet as much as she does her hands...especially when they have flowers on them!

Weekend with Family.  Nana and Papa came to visit for Collin's Baby Blessing at church.  They got in late Friday night and we had a Pre-bday celebration for Robert...the big 32!  Poor Maddie missed the celebration, girlfriend goes to bed with the chickens.  I'll make sure she is up to celebrate on his real birthday this week!

Ok, I did not make these, I cheated and bought them.  Robert loves Kaimi's cake balls, so I got the next best thing...some from a bakery.  He still likes hers better. :)

 23?!
 I don't think so!

 Still a silly boy...
That daddy of mine being silly, too!

 Make a wish!

We spent the day at Kaimi and Curt's on Saturday and then we went to church with them on Sunday.
Isn't he an angel?!  He was blessed at church Sunday, but he blessed our family a long time ago...
 Sweet Baby...Blue-eyed Baby!

Before church on Sunday.  Maddie already loves Nana and Papa!
