I Am Thankful For...

We spent Thanksgiving at home in Comanche this year.  Our holiday was filled with food (LOTS and LOTS of food), family, and fun (nothing in this world like the sounds of sweet giggles echoing off the walls!)
I have so many things to be thankful for -- in no particular order :)

I am thankful for a sweet little mama that slaves away in the kitchen so that our tummies are all full...and to have never known what it means to go hungry.
I am thankful to be able to celebrate another Thanksgiving with Granny.
I know that Kaimi and I are both thankful for two Daddys that love their baby girls as much as they do.
I am thankful for my family of three.
We are all so thankful for this little boy...last year at this time he was about to make an early appearance...and this year, he gobbled down his first Thanksgiving meal!

 Will enjoying a turkey leg.

I am thankful for sweet Katie...a "sister" for Maddie to love.
I am thankful for the innocence of children.
...for the love of this man.
 ...and this sweet baby girl.
...for learning the joy of being a mommy.
...for such sweet cheeks to kiss on every day.
I am thankful that Maddie has a Daddy that will get down in the floor with her to play.

I am thankful for a Papa that has such a youthful heart...his mere presence brings warmth and laughter to a room.  (Here he is going in to kiss Granny -- ha, it was almost caught on camera!)

...for sweet Aunt K, who loves Maddie like her own.
I am thankful for grocery stores to buy our meat! HA!
Loving Will's game face here.
Looks like Curt and Robert got theirs on here.
 Another Thanksgiving buck for Robert!
And a hog!  He also shot a doe...talk about a fruitful hunting trip.  Curt got a doe...using his bow!

 Robert and "Sure Shot Will"!

I am thankful that Mom and Dad have a big freezer, so THEY get to keep the deer meat for us ;)

I am thankful for the holiday season...and these little candy canes!

I am thankful for Nana's sweet little lap that always seems to have room for one more.

I am thankful for the internet on Black Friday (so you never have to get out of your pajamas to shop!) Notice the intensity on me and mom's faces...good thing we didn't weather the crowds at Walmart, they would have had to get out of our way!  It looks like Kaimi is thankful for coffee, or maybe for being able to drink it because the boys had baby duty! ;)
I am thankful for these two...no one else I had rather shop with.

As it always does, Thanksgiving came and went.  We had one very special day that soon followed...Daddy's birthday!  Speaking of being thankful...I am so thankful for my sweet Daddy.  I never really wanted to share him, but now that we have sweet little babies, there is no one I had rather share him with.  They love him as much as I do, well, ALMOST as much. :)
Heading into his birthday celebration...

Looks like Kaimi and I had pretty good aim!
I am thankful for 58 years...and praying for 58 more.

I am thankful for our little helpers...
Notice how Katie-belle wanted to get in on helping Papa blow out his candles, too!  She is such a good little helper, truly!  She has the steps down pat on changing a diaper and has all your supplies ready and waiting for you!
I am thankful for this sweet little smile...warms my heart every time.
Clearly... (and no, this is not Maddie!)

Will wanted to go finish the can off, of course Papa was a sport!
I am thankful for being able to worship our God without fear of being persecuted.  Dad and Robert unfortunately were not able to go with us because my Dad's steers had gotten out so they were trying to pin them all morning.  (Talk about a good birthday present, oh, the life of a farmer.)  But, I was thankful to have these three as company.  Maddie could not take her eyes off of Will, even in church.  These two filled our pew with lots of giggles, I am pretty sure it was as pleasing to God's ears as it was to mine.
Will is thankful for Chuckie-"CHEEEEESE" here. :)
I am thankful for stores that are open, even after the Black Friday deals are over...and for cashiers that charge you 5 "money-s".
I am thankful for Sunday afternoon naps...and even for "possums"!
I am thankful for sweet travel buddies...

Sad to say good bye, but it won't be long until we see everyone again...this upcoming weekend for Katie and Collin's joint birthday party.  Have I mentioned how I LOVE being back home close to family!?!
