Well, I didn't get around to doing a post last week for Valentine's day, but we sure did enjoy the day! It was a day celebrating the little love of our life. I know I already posted these last week, but, I just cannot get enough of my Valentine's Sweetheart in her sweet heart dress. Thank you Nana and Papa for it!
My heart melts with this face. Thank you, God, for this angel you have given us.
Girlfriend all decked out for Valentine's Day at daycare. Her mommy almost forgot that we needed to do Valentine's day treats for friends. Oh, I worry about myself sometimes! How could I possibly have forgotten how important class parties are!? I remember planning the treats we were going to take our friends for weeks. We had a little mama that would help us put together "custom" favors. Thank goodness I have a few years to practice before Maddie has her say in the matter, something tells me I am not going to get away with dashing to Target the day before and grabbing what is left in the candy aisle! :)
Our Valentines Day card from Maddie, isn't she sweet ;)
Opening V-Day gifts...yes, I realize she is STILL sporting Christmas PJs! haha Yes, I am totally up for mom of the year!
More interested in the tissue paper...
Too much sweetness going on here.
Finally, some new jammies! These are not holiday specific, so we are good for a while. That Nana and Papa spoil us! She also got a new library of books from them. We have read all of them dozens of times already. This kiddo LOVES her books. She definitely has her favorites, which for the time being are the flip books that allow her to be interactive.
She loves her puppy! We are still trying to come up with a name. We catch ourselves calling her "Puppy". But, we realize this is cousin Will's name for his puppy...so we will have to keep thinking!
She is constantly loving on her...I think because she is so so soft.
This bear is from Maddie's Abuelita and Abuelito. Looks like someone approves!
Saturday we went on a little date at one of our favorite spots...Mi Cocina. Oh, breaks my heart, she is now big enough for a high chair. :( She did great. We went mid day so we were one of only a few there, it was perfect!
She could not take her eyes off the hostesses, so this is about the only view I got!
Me and my Valentine...
Fast Forward a week. It was a typical work week...work all day, come home, play a couple of hours with our baby girl, then once she is off to sleep, both of us do some "homework". Do we ever get to old for that?!
Then, we all look forward to the weekend...where we all get to sleep in. Wait a minute, scratch that! Girlfriend doesn't like to sleep past 5-5:30, so we get in a few extra hours of early morning play time! Here she is watching "Baby Can Read". She loves this movie!
Uh oh, somebody is already getting sleepy!
This smile, oh this smile. This is why I gladly wake at 0130 to feed her, why we wake at 0530 on our Saturday mornings off, and why her Daddy bounces her until his thighs cannot stand one more bounce...
We are completely smitten.
After a cold winter, God gave us a Satuday in the 70's! We took advantage of it and headed to the lake! Here she is, first time in the stroller like a big girl...I think she is still trying to test out the new view...
On our walk, we found one thing that Madelyn likes just as much as kids...DOGS! Every time we passed one on the lake trail she would smile ear to ear, and wave to them. But, the only dog she is getting is the little puppy seen above! Girlfriend is about all we can handle!
The wind was a little strong...you can tell by her bow! :)
Loving the sun!
...or loving the piggy back ride, you be the judge...
If only I could attach the sweet giggle that came with this one!
One more time, Daddy!
A little grocery shopping at Sam's, no body is going to get her mangos!
I don't have any pictures from church today. We had a guest speaker today and had a combined service so we were out the door earlier. I had planned on getting on once we got home, but girlfriend had plans for a nap instead...
I guess I did, too ;) Sunday afternoon naps just got a little sweeter!
Another weekend has come and gone. But, one is thing is for sure, we never take our family time for granted.
