Madeyln's First First Day of School!
Kindergarten
Where: Shady Groves Elementary -- Keller ISD
Year: 2018 -2019 (to be class of 2031)
When: School starts at 7:55 / Ends at 3:10
Teacher: Ms. Knotts
First Day of school sign, Maddie insisted on doing it herself.
My Sign.
We had to wait a until the last weekend to go get school supplies. This was the first weekend that Maddie felt like getting out after her tonsillectomy/adenoidectomy.
This dress...is her go to dress. Whenever I tell her to go find something to put on, she comes back with either this one on or her "Daddy/daughter dance" dress on! ha
Last Day of Primrose Shots.
Making her own lunch for school. Sandwich (honey wheat bread, ketchup, turkey, cheese and PICKLES!), chips, fruit and a snack. Top it off with flavored water.
Breakfast before her first day.
Her choice: Pancakes and strawberries. She kept saying she wasn't nervous, but she sure didn't eat much. Poor baby.
First Day photo shoot.
Waiting in the lunch room to head back!
The Ladybugs lined up to head to Ms. Knotts class. Maddie made a friend at Meet the Teacher, Spencer. We found him quickly on the first day.
They said we could send a few medicines for our child in case they got sick at school. Ha.
After school yogurt with Taylor and Ryan. The best picture I got, these kids have minds of their own!
WIPED OUT.
We had to load her into car to head to speech and she fell back asleep!
Whew. What a day for us all. But the first week went really well. No tears so far. I know there will be some ahead, but thankful for sunny skies to start.
I pray for the years ahead and I pray she will be a life long learner.
