Our Last Day...

How it can it be that I have been off for almost an entire month already?!  Today is my LAST day as a stay at home mommy.  Reflecting back on our month together, I am going to miss our early morning (and late afternoon) walks, cuddle sessions, rocking time, and our "just us" girl time.  Each month I say, "this is my favorite age," but I REALLY have enjoyed this past month.  Maddie is soooo cuddly and sweet.  Whether it is her sweet kisses and hugs, her love pats, her back rubs (yes, she will rub my back!), or her insisting to sit in my lap to read a book or play, this girl is my little shadow...and I LOVE IT!  I always prayed for an affectionate little girl, and oh did God deliver.  I am so blessed.
This week has been hard though, not only because I knew it was our last few days together, but also because I took Maddie to daycare an hour or so each day to try and "transition" her into her new daycare.  When they first mentioned it, I did not think she would need it since she has been in daycare most of her life.  BUT, I guess her month off at home has made her forget that!  Poor baby (and poor me)...this has been a hard adjustment.  I cannot even describe her little face when I leave.  I just pray that God will help us both through this transition.  I have been more nervous for her first day than mine!
Day 1 of daycare transition.  Poor baby, she doesn't know what lies ahead.
Somebody found her Mama's pearls!

Just try and get them away from this little face!
She LOVES "Boo!"  Nana and Papa got that for her a while ago and I pulled it out the other day when I realized how much she loved dogs!  That is her napping buddy now!

Day 2 of daycare transition.  Daddy took off two days to spend our last days at home as a family.   She does NOT want to wear a bow to school, clearly.

 Haha, mommy won...this time. :)
Check out girlfriends shiny new kicks!  We had to go to the store to get her some new shoes for daycare...all we had were sandals and they have to wear close-toed shoes to play out on the playground.  I guess we will save her sandals for her "weekend" shoes.

 Happy Baby!

Day 3 of daycare transition.  Somebody knows where she is headed I think :(
 Maybe a little smile here...

  But still so sweet!
 My love.
 There's my smile!

Pictures from this past Sunday. I think the house is complete...well, as complete as it can be for now (notice the empty dining room).  Some things will just have to wait, but so far we love what we have done, it really has started to feel like "home."
We get one picture these days...then she's off!

Silly girl!  Life as we have known it for the last month is about to change...but that will make us all the more grateful for moments like these.  At least that is what I tell myself!  Wish us luck!

My Favorite Pictures of Madelyn Grace

I must admit, I had a long "check list" of things I wanted to get done this month...and this was one of them...
I have gone through all of my pictures of Maddie (I seriously have over 6,000!) and chosen my favorites of her, so here they are!  I know, there are still a lot, but when you have 6,500, 200 is not that many!  I tried to put them in somewhat of an order, then I realized what a feat that would be...so as the pictures progress, it morphs from a chronological sequence of her life to more of a collage of cuteness!  I know one thing for sure, this little mama teared up when I saw my baby grow before my very eyes.  Where oh where does the time go?
