June 2014 Update

Where oh where did the month of June go?  I know...it was spent getting our house ready to move into and finishing up my LAST month of training!

Here we are with our sweet realtor, Denise, after signing our lives away.  Good thing we got that cake to restore our fatigued hand muscles!

We just THOUGHT we were tired after signing all those papers!  In the weeks that ensued, we spent every free moment working on the home.  But, by the time we officially moved in, we had repainted the house, recarpeted, and ordered and had delivered the appliances and furniture.
Just thinking about all that clearly made this little one tired!

But, after a few cat naps here and there, this chica was ready to cruise her new neighborhood in her slick ride (Thanks Nana and Papa!)  This is her mama's favorite toy for sure...we go on daily, if not twice daily walks with this!
First time in her wagon...

 She LOVES it!

 Her Future playroom!
It is hard to believe she had an area about 5x9 feet to play in our old condo.  This room was originally almost totally BLACK (everything, even the ceilings were black).  But, leave it to two coats of primer, a couple of coats of paint...and of course, two hardworking painters (Daddy and Papa!) and look at what you get!  I cannot tell who was more excited to have this done!

Father's Day 2014

BUT, in the midst of all of that, we had to take time to celebrate the important things (or should I say people in life).

Me and my little.  Maddie was waiting on her Daddy to get ready for church so I had to snap a photo myself to send to my Daddy to wish him a Happy Father's Day from his girls!  Maddie loves her Papa almost as much as her Mama does...well, almost, that's pretty hard to do!
The top two photos below are my absolute favorites of me and my Daddy...you can see just how much I do, and always have adored this man.  Time has changed us both, but one thing is for sure, my love for him has not.

We are so thankful for this little Daddy.  Her eyes just dance when she sees him.  I always knew that he would be a good father, but now I have the privilege of seeing just how wonderful he is with Madelyn on a daily basis.  He has mastered diapers, picking out her clothes, and even choosing a matching bow.  I know in a few years he will have French braids down to an art! :)

Donuts with Daddy.
She LOVED donuts Robert said.  Poor baby, this was her first taste of something so sweet!

She could not take her eyes off of the big kids though!

Officially moving in...FINALLY!  We could not have done it without family that is for sure!
We had lots of good help!

First overnight in the house (where we had to get up and go to work the next day).  We had spent a few weekend nights at the house, but this was the first week night.  For the last week of my fellowship I commuted from Keller...those were long days, so thankful I will be closer once I start my "real" job!
Girlfriend finally has her own chair, she LOVES it!
 Daddy's little helper.
 Maddie and Pinkie.

"Home Sweet Home with the Sedas"

What would we do without our Nana and Papa!

Moving is hard work that is for sure!
Maddie's LAST day at Bethel Lutheran...she looks like such a big girl! :(

Maddie and Seble.  Seble really helped us out several times...she would come over when both Robert and I had to be to work early and watch Maddie prior to taking her to daycare with her.  We were so grateful!

Maddie and Saba.  I think Maddie was Saba's favorite!  Maddie always smelled like Saba when we picked her up from school, there was no doubt girlfriend was cuddled a lot during the day! :)

Maddie and Melody.  We sure are going to miss these three ladies.  It is so hard leaving your baby with someone to care for, but I always knew she was being loved while she was away from me!

Maddie's very first day of daycare...and her last (well for now that is).  Look how much she has grown up.

My LAST day of training...so nice to come home to this!
Ha!  Isn't this ironic...I stumbled upon this as I was going through our office stuff.  Some days it seems like only yesterday...thankfully I have gotten that under my belt though! :)
I unpacked our last box today!  For the most part things have gone fairly smoothly, but we have certainly had our share of setbacks...I rest my case.  Thankfully, I am not superstitious!  I will just tell myself this is not the cause of a broken hot water heater and a hole in our garage from Robert falling through the attic! :/

Well, I have more blogging to do to get caught up...but I think it is about time for this now!
Stay tuned for a July update, complete with a 4th of July celebration and Maddie's 15 month check up!
