I cannot believe we had not been home since before Christmas! Robert had been dying to go home and hunt...something/anything (squirrels/hogs...whatever)! I had been anxious just to go home. So, we packed up the car and headed home. When we drove through town I felt like so much had changed in just 6 months. It truly is such a quaint little town, they do such a good job at keeping it up. I have always believed that there is "no place like home." We met Mom and Dad at Woody's BBQ on the way home Friday, it was so good! Maddie loved the BBQ...and the onion rings! We then got home and had just enough time for go out to the place to see the sheep. Maddie LOVED them! I cannot decide if she liked the sheep better or the sheep dogs! She was so excited she was almost panting herself! She was so funny patting the dogs. They were more like quick little touches, she was not quite as brave as she thought she was when she got close to those big old puppies. We even got to meet Will's puppy, Panchito! I really never have been much of a pet person, but I don't know if I am going to get out of having a dog with this little girl! Unfortunately, Papa lost his phone after the boys decided to go on a "hiking trip" up a mountain on the place, so we lost the pictures we got of Maddie with her farm friends. I guess there is always next time! But poor Papa, I don't think there will be a next time for his phone!
Maddie just a swinging. This girl could live in a swing.
Nothing like play time in your jammies on an early Saturday morning!
Sweet kisses. That Maddie loves her Papa, he got the most kisses this weekend that is for sure (BIG, sloppy kisses -- Maddie's speciality!)
After church on Sunday. This girl is in heaven between these two. Maddie usually doesn't let me put her down at home...except when her Nana and Papa are around!
Her, "Say what?!" look.
I could just take a bite out of this little sweetheart!
We had such a good time this weekend, just relaxing...and eating! I think I gained 4 pounds this weekend! Haha We timed our drive and we are 2 hours on the dot from home. So that means a lot more road trips are in our future, especially since our little chica has FINALLY gotten the hang of riding in the car. Who would have thought it only took 15 short months. :) Until next visit!
