Life Lately

We have something very big coming up very soon...a birthday party for this little sweetheart.
Can you believe 4 years have passed with this angel, I know we cannot.

Oh, just you wait, I will have a whole post (or maybe two) dedicated to that big event. :)

One day I saw this little dress and thought it might still fit...and it did!
Can you tell which was taken this year??
Speaking of my growing baby...Look at this hair.  Ha, in the bath tub straight it is just a little longer than when the air hits it!
 Maddie loves her "loooong hair".

Good old Facebook.  I don't tend to get on it as much anymore (you know the endless political rants, humble brags #blessed, and pointless videos) Ok, I digress, but I do enjoy the updates from friends of the past that I see too little...and the Timehop feature that brings up past memories.
This one came up this month, oh, my heart melted a little that day.  She was 11 months old there.
Yep, that is her personality through and through.

But for now, a look back into our life of late.

As per norm, some "School Shots"
Maddie has her days.  Some days she wants no pictures, others she wants to have a little photo shoot.  That girl.
This was courtesy of Daddy that AM.

Poor thing, I remember this was an early start day.  You can see those little tired eyes, but she is a trooper.  That Boo sure does help!  We actually have 5 Boos...and she knows the difference.  She has to have a certain Boo (smelly, grungy Boo we like to call him) to sleep and go to school with, ha.

Lucky Boo, I think he gets more hugs than anyone.

Some mornings she likes to play hide and seek from the camera.

And others, she is just plain silly.  This was a morning of photo shoot time!

And this AM.
This morning she felt bad for not sending Nana a picture the day before, so she made up for it with "lots of pictures to make Nana happy".

I was even asked to join.

Some "before" shots.
Somebody is getting their beauty rest.

Oh, my little life saver.  She still loves to run get me and say, "I have someting to show you"...she then leads me in to look at her green light (as she jumps for joy, literally).
There was one day she woke up before it, I asked her if her light was green (full knowing the answer)
"No" she said.
"How come?" I answered.
"Because I did not want to wait."
My heart dropped some that day.  But I will admit I coaxed her back to bed...and it's still been working since.  Finger crossed!
Guess which ones are 35 years old?
Maddie's little bear has a couple of old friends.
These were stuffed animals Dad got me when I was delivered (or so I am told at least).
They sit near her alarm clock, she likes to point out that they were mine when I was a baby every morning as she turns off her green light.

After School Shots.
Opening a surprise from Titi Christie.

 Out of school, PAR-TAAAAY!

This kid, she keeps sunshine in our lives, that is for sure.
Can we say "Accessories!"

Of course Bear needed a necklace as well.
When Daddy is late for a meeting, the girls have icecream...with "SPINKLES!" of course.

A little swinging in the sunshine...with my sunshine.

Weekend Shennanigans.

Last Saturday someone helped me start getting her party things ready.  OH MY.  For the girl who has endless tea parties, she was in hog heaven.
Hey hey, I did this table cloth myself, not bad for an amazon prime mama I might say. :)
We also went and got us some bar stools, finally!
And grilled out...Robert has some help it seems.  And it was not me or Maddie! :)
This is what we were doing.
But, hey, I did make a dessert...one weekend this month.

What's a weekend without a little laundry and a lot of ruffles!
We really do have good help with folding.  She loves it!

 She did the whole stack!
Working on our hand eye coordination.  Robert made some good progress. ;)

 Sunday AM baths.

 Lead to Sunday Smiles.

But, Sundays are made for the park to get dirty again!

This girl has swinging down.  Now we need to work on the biking skills.

 We all got to slide!

I wish I could say it had been all fun and games this month.  But, I had a big scare this past week.  I was operating and about to close my last case of the day (thank goodness) when I had significant left lower abdominal pain.  I barely finished the case and walked out of the OR to the locker rooms.
It was the worst pain I had ever had, so much that I really had to work to keep from blacking out.  I kept thinking it would pass, but as the minutes passed and it remained, I finally called for help and was taken to the ER in that same hospital.  It was the longest ride down a hall I usually walk down in about one minute.
Long story short, I did have an ovarian mass that thankfully it looks benign.  It's just bigger than my ovary, so they think it caused a torsion, hence my pain.
Ugh, so now I get to decide on whether this surgeon want surgery?!  Scary, I know too much and only think of the bad that could potentially happen.  And who has time for surgery?

So I will pray about it.  It is nice to know a gyn onc though.

Another time hop that I thought was quite funny.
This came they day after I was released from the ER.
I told Robert 4 years ago I had another little tumor in my tummy, haha!
This one is not quite as cute.  Can you see it?  Please disregard my huge bladder that clearly had not been emptied.

Well, that's about as much excitement as this girl can handle for now.  The pain passed, I was discharged and was able to work the next day.  I just hope that it does not return.  Here's to hoping.  But for now, I think I may hold off on jogging and jumping on the trampoline! ;)
