Lunch Dates with Daddy

Daddy took off the first week after Maddie was born but, as they say, all good things must come to an end and it was back to work for him.  As a treat for us though, he came home everyday for lunch.  We always ate quick meals so that Daddy had extra time to cuddle.  Maddie loves her Daddy-time, almost as much as he loves his Maddie-time.

We have lots more pictures just like these.  I never get tired of looking at this little one doing what she does best -- I love our little snuggle bunny.  This is Madelyn's favorite way to be held.  I like to think it is because she enjoys hearing our heart beat like she did in the womb.  :)

This one is after Daddy got home from work...he can feed, too with the miracle of a breast pump!  He has loved getting to join in these little cuddle-fests, I had been hogging them all for a while.  Though I still don't give up too many of them (knowing that my time of being at home is quickly coming to an end) I did begin pumping early to let little one start practicing with a bottle for when I start back to work.  She has been an all-star!

Even though we had lots of sandwiches and TV dinners for lunch, I can think of no better way to spend an hour than looking at these two.
