Madelyn's Two Week Appointment

We left the hospital on the Tuesday after Madelyn was born.  She was a perfect, healthy little baby girl.  It is the oddest feeling when you leave, though.  I remember being bewildered at the fact that we were leaving with just that...a healthy little baby girl...a living breathing little being!  I am 31 years old, been through more schooling than I care to admit, and found myself wondering if I was capable of making sure that this perfect little child from God would be cared for in the way that she deserved.  On those first nights after we arrived home I recall almost holding my breath at night so that I could hear each breath baby girl took.  And how any little sigh/cough/coo would wake me like the sound of a shrieking pager.  Who am I kidding...I still do that! Despite my worries we made it to her two week appointment! I got her ready and Daddy met us there. Whew, it was work, little one was especially feisty that day! But, by the time we got there she looked like this...

Daddy and Maddie after her appointment. Maddie actually likes doctors for some reason! ;)
Packaged and ready to go!

This appointment there were no issues...our well baby check proved to be just that.
Maddie's stats:
Head circumference:  14.25 inches (76th percentile)
Length:  19 3/4 inches (22nd percentile)
Weight: 7 pounds 2 ounces (15th percentile -- Little one gained her birth weight back and then some...there was no doubt in my mind she would the way she had been eating!)
